White Residence Main of Personnel Mark Meadows said Sunday that the region is “not going to control the pandemic” — noting it is contagious like the flu and will have to be managed with therapeutics and vaccines.
“We’re not likely to regulate the pandemic. We are going to handle the simple fact that we get vaccines, therapeutics and other mitigation initiatives,” Meadows claimed throughout a contentious job interview with Jake Tapper on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
“Why are not we likely to get to control the pandemic?” Tapper asked.
“Because it is a contagious virus just like the flu,” Meadows responded, as the two went back again and forth about President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence continuing to campaign after five associates of Pence’s team tests beneficial.
“Let me just say this is what we want to do is make absolutely sure that we have the suitable mitigation things — no matter whether it is therapies or vaccines or solutions — to make absolutely sure that men and women don’t die from this,” he stated.

Meadows then went on to counsel that previous Vice President Joe Biden wants to quarantine the nation.
Tapper claimed, “nobody is stating that.”
“They are. Joe Biden is saying that. He says, lock everybody down, we’re heading to have a dark wintertime,” Meadows mentioned.
But Tapper countered which is what well being officers are warning will materialize this wintertime as the amount of circumstances surged in the Midwest.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo promptly ripped Meadow’s remark Sunday.
“He stated we can not regulate the virus. That was a pretty telling statement, that he mentioned that. … Flattening the curve is managing the virus,” Cuomo said Sunday at a coronavirus briefing.
Cuomo said the White House experienced “capitulated” to the pandemic.
“They surrendered. … It was the excellent American surrender. Americans really don’t surrender. And they didn’t even place up a combat. What we uncovered in New York is, we set up a combat,” he reported.
“We simply cannot handle the virus — Trump’s principle: pre-emptive capitulation. Never even try. Just surrender pre-emptively. President Trump, commander in main.
